Part #: SP9302
The original. The strongest. Do not be fooled by pieces of bent pieces of metal that offer no support in compression or tension. Or brace offers both and uses a heavy duty center plate to eliminate any flex within the brace itself.
*Does not fit with all STB's. It is impossible to test with every brace. Confirmed to work with UMI, and SLP styles. Some modification may be necessary with certain Hotchkis Braces. Any brace that lays back toward the firewall is almost certainly not going to work with this part.
Please take a look at the pictures of this car on the car and the STB shown. It should not be difficult to figure out if your STB, if not listed above, will work.
The absolute best way to improve your brake pedal firmness, feel, and response is with this new part.
Go open your hood and have someone pump the brake pedal and watch on your own car how much the brake master cylinder moves. That's from the firewall flexing, and that's not good for your brake feel, or the firewall itself. People have cracked their firewalls over time, and this is a huge part of why.
For anyone who saw an improvement with stainless steel brake lines, this will blow your mind. the amount of flex you had in all your lines combined is nothing compared to the amount of flex at the master cylinder/firewall. And this product solves that.
-It bolts on, without modification to any 4th gen.
-Modular to work with or without a UMI or like style tubular STB. Confirmed to fit with UMI (see pictures attached). Should work with others but due to differences in STB tubes and welding location I cannot guarantee fitment with every STB).
-Adjustable stop so you can add as much or little pre-load to the master cylinder and firewall as you like. The more preload the firmer and higher the brake pedal. BUT BE CAREFUL. You don't want to go nuts and bend the firewall! Use common sense.
-Available in Red or Black
