Detroit Speed’s rear axle housing features dropout center section mounting, improved suspension geometry, and reliable axle mounting. Designed to pair with Detroit Speed’s Torque Arm FN988, the housing allows for the center section to be easily removed from the housing. The integral torque arm mounting of the FN988 pairs seamlessly with 3rd/4th gen F-Body torque arms, allowing for easy installation with factory and aftermarket torque arms. The rear axle housing improves axle retention, eliminating the failure prone C-Clip and moving to a “Torino” style bearing retained by a backing plate. Housing Ends accepts 93-02 F-Body brake systems, both factory and aftermarket, retaining the axle with the brake system backing plate. Factory ABS functionality is retained with the addition of ABS tone rings, no more loss of ABS functionality due to an axle upgrade!

Detroit Speed’s pedigree of great performance suspension is incorporated into every rear axle housing. Combining the suspension and rear axle expertise eliminates any concern if your suspension upgrade brackets with bolt onto an aftermarket housing. Adjustable Trailing Arm and Panhard Bar mounts allow for suspension tuning, while integral sway bar mounts eliminate the extra weight of U-Bolt mounted sway bars. Housing directly fits with factory and aftermarket suspension components, additional flexibility for spring mounting includes stock coil spring or coilover shock mounting options. Coilover mounting accommodates popular aftermarket shock options (5/8” or 1 1/4” wide shock mounts).
